Mastering the future challenges in PET packaging requires creativity, innovation and regular dialogue between experts. This conviction has connected our companies with PETnology for almost 25 years. The will to progress has driven Otto Hofstetter AG for almost seven decades - and Otto Systems since its foundation in 2016. This aspiration is also our impetus for addressing one of the most critical challenges of our era - sustainability.

Curiosity, creativity, determination and perseverance are essential prerequisites to successfully navigate challenging times and meet the demand for sustainability through technical solutions. These virtues form the backbone of our businesses, and we do everything we can to develop sustainable concepts for our PET industry. Presenting these to the industry using the media capabilities of PETnology has always been a delight for us. Therefore, we are pleased to announce our support for PETnology Europe 2024, which is being held here on Lake Zurich in Switzerland, with Otto Systems as the LEAD sponsor. We extend our best wishes to the dedicated PETnology team for a successful event and hope that all attendees will enjoy a lively and stimulating exchange.

We look forward to seeing you and to a multifaceted presentation program. We also cordially invite all PETnology Europe 2024 participants to our Open House event on June 13 at the brand-new Otto Systems Tech Center.

Mayor Rapperswil-Jona

Dear conference participants,

As Mayor, I am delighted that PETnology is holding its conference here at the OST in Rapperswil-Jona. As a university town, we are proud of the innovations that are developed and implemented here. I hope you will find inspiration in this stimulating and exciting environment.

A look out the window or a walk in the surrounding countryside will also be inspiring. Directly in front of the OST you can enjoy the shores of Lake Zurich and a wonderful panoramic view from the wooden footbridge towards Hurden. The historic old town is just a few steps away. The castle is enthroned on the castle hill and there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops to explore.

But the town also has a lot to offer economically. The agglomeration of Rapperswil-Jona lies in the orbit of one of Europe's most attractive economic regions. Its proximity to the economic powerhouse of Zurich is a source of strength for the town's many companies. Economic development is also very important in the city. Rapperswil-Jona has recently launched its own urban economic development institution called "Impulsort", which means "place of inspiration". It is located in the Weidmann area - an industrial park with a history dating back to 1850 -, which is currently very dynamic. It has already had some success in attracting start-ups.

Success is also what I wish for you and the organizers of the conference, as well as many exciting conversations and inspiring encounters.

Martin Stöckling, Mayor of Rapperswil-Jona
