Abstract

Coperion has been manufacturing twin screw extruders for the plastics for more than 60 years. The ZSK is the suitable twin screw for the processing and recycling of PET. Due to the high torque, the PET can be processed very gently at low screw speeds, and due to the large free volume, even high amounts of volatile components can be degassed safely.

Sabine Schönfeld is working as Business Development Manager Recycling at Coperion GmbH (formerly known as Werner & Pfleiderer) in Stuttgart and is responsible for the specification and sales of recycling lines, for finding new opportunities and adapting existing technologies for recycling waste material streams with regard to sustainability.  

Sabine studied Process Engineering at the University of Stuttgart and started working for Werner & 

Pfleiderer directly after her degree in 1990.
