Abstract
Plastic pollution is a global challenge requiring coordinated, proactive solutions. At Husky Technologies, we are committed to addressing this issue through advocacy and innovation, working collaboratively with industry partners to promote sustainable practices.

Our advocacy efforts focus on advancing four critical recommendations:

Setting Recycled Content Targets to increase the use of recycled materials

Establishing Effective Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) systems to incentivize recycling and ensure accountability throughout the value chain.

Designing for Circularity to ensure products are optimized for reuse and recycling from inception.

Adopting Holistic Life-Cycle Evaluations to assess the environmental impact of all materials comprehensively.
These initiatives aim to unite the industry, calling on stakeholders to collaborate and join us in driving meaningful change.

Sylvain Talarico is currently Husky's General Manager, Sales, Systems & Tooling, Southern Europe.
Since joining Husky in 1998, Sylvain has held progressively different leadership roles and has overseen several significant Sales and Support initiatives in the PET Packaging domain. His previous positions include Sales Support roles, Project Engineering Management, and PET Applications and Product Management.
Sylvain holds a Master of Science degree from the ‘Institut Polytechnique de Lorraine’, France.
Frans Trimbos is currently Husky's General Manager, Sales, Systems & Tooling, North Europe.
Since joining Husky in 2005, he has held various sales roles in the Hot Runner, Medical and Specialty Packaging businesses. Since 2019, he has been General Manager, leading the sales team for North Europe in the Beverage Packaging domain.
Frans holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the ‘Hoge School Rotterdam’, the Netherlands.
